A Transmission Masters was founded by the late Michael Kidwell. We first opened our doors for business in the late 1980's in a small building just a few doors west of our current East Main Street location with a team of the best technicians in the business. Mike's philosphy for the business was based on the basic key principles of honesty, integrity, quality workmanship, value for the customer and excellent customer service. He instilled in us the desire to be only the very best. These practices, along with Mike's engaging personality, great sense of humor, and his winning smile, were the factors behind our growth and success.

Mike departed this world much too soon in 2007 leaving a huge void in our business and our hearts. While we could never replace his impact on our business, his legacy remains. Over two decades later, we continue to run our business under the same philosophy that made us who we are. And, our success continues for those very same reasons. In 2008 we moved to our current location in a larger, more modern facility. Our staff of experienced, skilled technicians are many of the same individuals who joined Mike in the early stages of our growth. All of us dedicate our efforts each and every day to his memory and his legacy of a business built on a commitment to quality work at the lowest possible cost and 100% customer satisifaction.
